For Joseph...

Ok...I have some good excuses for not having anything on my blog.

1. My parents 60th Wedding Anniversary
2. I don't have the internet at home - only at work & at my parents house
3. My niece's wedding was on December 20th
4. Christmas
5. Started making jewelry as a part-time job & trying to sell it
6. Having a Post-Wedding Party for local friends & relatives who couldn't make it to the wedding

But, honestly, there has been plenty of time in the last few months where I could have posted. My apologies...and...My thanks to Joseph who inspired me to get busy and make an entry.
Here are some pictures to show you what I've been doing...

This is Mom & Dad's wedding picture...September 25, 1948

This is Mom & Dad on September 25, 2008...60 Blessed Years.

This me & my cat Morgan in front of a beautiful Maple tree at our Church. My dad took this picture of us this past November. While I don't like pictures of myself, I am happy about the 65lbs I've lost in the past 11 months!

This is my brother Paul, my niece Hannah, her new husband Paul Daniel & and my sister-in-law Kristi at the wedding. They met at Asbury College in Wilmore, KY...and graduated this past spring. After their honeymoon in Florida they will be teaching in South Korea for 6 months. Paul Daniel was born & raised in South Korea where his parents are Missionaries.

The lady on the right is my niece Elisabeth. She just returned from 3 years in Tanzania where she was a Missionary. The Family is so proud of her and so very happy she was able to be home for the wedding. The lady on the left is Brooke...a nephews girlfriend...she's wonderful - we love her!

So, that catches you up on me...I'll try to do better and keep this site updated. Laura

Still In Georgia

Someone in GA won the Lotto but it wasn't me. So, my longing for Forks goes on. Everyday, throughout the day, I pray for Gods Will to be done...adding that if it be God's will I'd like to live in Forks, with my family & the dream of Fernbank to become a reality. Trusting in God I know that my living in Forks will happen when it is the perfect time...`til then I Dream of Fernbank!

Dreaming of Forks

At the end of June/begining of July my family and I spent 4 days in Forks, WA. We spent time at First Beach, Second Beach, the Hoh Rainforest, La Push, Port Angeles, Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent and loved every minute of it! My dream, and daily prayer, is to move to Forks. My niece, Anna, and I would like to own a large tract (many acres) of land where we could build houses for any family member or friend who would like to live in this most beautiful area of God's Earth. We would name the compound "Fernbank".
